We were the first salon in Bristol to offer our customers Fibroblast Technology, which is a NEW revolutionary procedure that requires absolutely no surgery! It is the only non-invasive treatment on the market to successfully reduce excess skin around the eye zone, chin and cheek area and can dramatically reduce the appearance of scarring.
This is a non-surgical, non-invasive treatment that shrinks excess skin, bags and wrinkles. It instantly lifts the skin to reveal remarkable results. This NEW cosmetic procedure is revolutionary in wrinkle smoothing and eyelid tightening, making it ideal for dramatically reducing hooded eyelids, lifting jowls, and double chin reduction. Fibroblast Technology can also be used on other parts of the face to smooth out wrinkles.
The Fibroblast hand-piece produces a tiny plasma flash which leaps from tip to the skin in a micro-millimetre sized point. This superficial point minimises the skin in its immediate vicinity - this reduces the excess skin, tightening the lid/under eye area. A series of tiny brown spots are strategically placed to attain the desired result for the excess skin.
After the procedure your eyelids and under-eye, will look and feel a lot smoother and excess skin will be clearly reduced; leaving your eyelids feeling lighter. Eye make-up application will be a lot easier and you will find that it will stay on much longer!
It usually takes around 1-2 hours. This includes a full consultation before the treatment is commenced.
Following Fibroblast treatment, most people experience a mild burning sensation similar to sunburn which resolves after a couple of hours. Depending upon your own sensitivity tolerance this discomfort may last a little longer. If you feel particularly uncomfortable anti-inflammatory medication such as ibuprofen can be taken. (Please ensure this is compatible with any other prescribed medication you may be taking). Or you may find using an ice pack on the treated area(s) will help to reduce the discomfort.
As a natural healing response, it is usual for the treated area to become swollen (approximately 1-2 days after), especially around the more delicate areas such as the eyes. Once again this can vary depending upon your natural rate of recovery; however, most people find it only usually lasts a few days. In extreme cases, the swelling can last several days and may initially interfere with vision. However, this is very rare and usually only happens when the after-care is not followed.
Initially, after treatment and for a day or so afterwards, there may be occasional weeping. This is simply plasma and is a natural healing response. As the treated area begins to heal, you will notice its drying out process, a brown/black crust develops upon the surface of the skin. This will simply flake off after a few days but in some cases can take over 2 weeks. DO NOT pick at this crusting as it can lead to infection or scarring. And it is very important to keep the treated area clean and dry. Avoid using alcohol-based cleansers; lukewarm boiled water is best for cleaning the treated areas.
Providing you listen carefully and follow closely all of the aftercare advice that we give you, you will have no problems. However, if at any time the treated area becomes hot, red or shows signs of pus, please contact us for advice as you may be developing an infection.
For optimum results, more than one treatment is usually needed and can be completed from around 6 weeks onwards.
