Skin Tag, Red Vein & Milia removal using Electrolysis

Skin Tags

Skin tags are small flaps or protruding pieces of skin, usually 2-3mm in size but can be 5mm or more.  Medically harmless and quite common, they are usually found under the arms, on the neck, back, chest, groin (anus and vagina) and the eye area.

Facial Thread (Spider Veins)

These thin vessels around your nose or on your cheeks are small blood vessels near the surface of the skin, often formed as a result of sun-exposure. The exact causes of thread veins are not known, but along with hereditary factors it is thought heat, alcohol and hormonal changes act as a trigger.   They can be a nuisance, as sometimes they can be fairly noticeable.

Milia (Milk spots)

A milium cyst is a small, white bump that usually occurs when keratin becomes trapped beneath the surface of the skin.  They are typically found on the face, eyelids and cheeks and although they are not harmful, they may cause discomfort and embarrassment for some people, as sometimes they are mistaken for whiteheads.   Doctors don't know why adults get milia, as the cysts are not related to diet, lifestyle or health issues, unlike other skin conditions.

Removal using Electrolysis

Skin tag, Facial threads and Millia removal is a very quick and simple procedure using Electrolysis, which can be done on the same day as your consultation.   Here at Ambertone Cosmetic Clinic, we pride ourselves on the fact that ALL of our treatments are carried out by fully-qualified practitioners and are affordable; electrolysis starts from £75. Longer treatment times will be quoted.

Can Electrolysis be used for other skin lesions or blemishes?

Yes.  We also offer mole and wart removal and removal of cysts from the body, face or even embarrassing intimate areas.  The main concern around most skin problems is that they are often cosmetically embarrassing and make us feel self conscious.

Electrolysis is also a safe method to remove Blood spots, Age spots, Sun spots, Pigmentation, Syringoma, Secaceous Hyperplasia, and Xanthelasma.
